My Life: Film & Digital Media

Michael Brandt & Derek Haas were our guest speakers in my class today. Since they too are Baylor Bear (Baylor Alumni), they spoke to us on how they got to where they were - from graduating at Baylor and what they did then. They were quite fascinating to listen to. I noticed on IMDB.com that their new production is not listed yet - Countdown - which they are shooting this summer. Countdown is about 7 people that are is a space ship that end up crashing onto a planet where they find thier already dead bodies. They then try to figure out if they can change their fate.
After writing it, Michael decided he would produce it while Derek would direct it. They should us a "storyboarded" version of the trailer (which was wonderfully done and looks interesting). They are the screenwriters to Wanted which comes out this summer (June 27).

After my class, I spoke briefly with them about Baylor Grad school, then I had to go to my next class, which actually we ended up watching the Baylor Mens Basketball game, (which we lost). Then they came in the middle of it and sat with us & watched the game. It was an overall good experience.
